SongHawk uses a number of online data sources to provide information about genres, artists and albums.

• Last.fm: provides information and artwork for artists and albums.
• Freebase: provides access to genre information.
• MusicBrainz: provides record label information and dates for artists.
• Spotify: provides Spotify URLs for listening to artists or albums.
